Bulgaria attracts tourists from Mediterranean countires
17.08.2010
The demand for tourist services in Bulgaria this season has reached the level before the crisis. According to tour operators, the popularity of Bulgaria as a tourist destination is a fact, mainly due to the large number of tourists who are accustomed to rest in the more expensive European countries, because of declining revenues, are forced to switch to more affordable countries such as Bulgaria.Expected sales of the tour operators this season will increase by 25-30% compared to the last year. "The increase is large enough, so we hope to reach the levels of before last year", - stated the director of ICS Travel Helena Andreevska. “The main competitive advantage of Bulgaria - this is the price”.
Attractiveness of Bulgaria has managed to maintain despite the fact that the prices compared to the last year increased by 10-15%, while in most other European destinations have remained unchanged or even slightly had been reduced. "We have this season a very successful regional program launched in Bulgaria. I can say that this is one of the most successful in the past 10 years.” – said the director of Company Capital Tour. According to him, due to overflow of demand in the region has recorded sales growth in the sector of Bulgarian tourism services.
Among the most popular and favorite resorts of tourists this year are Golden Sands, Sunny Beach, Albena, Riviera and Dunes.
