Emona is a village in Southeastern Bulgaria. It is located in the western part of Cape Emine (the easternmost point of the Balkan Mountains), about 1 km from the steep sea coast. The region of the village is inhabited since ancient times, direct evidence of which are the remains of Thracian, ancient and medieval the Emona fortress, which rose in the "Old Fortress" area of Cape Emine.
Today the village of Emona has only 23 people (2010), living permanently. In the last 20-30 years the village acquires the image of a holiday village, as most of the villas are owned by artists.
In the center of the village can be seen the restored in 2005 "St. Dimitar" church. Near the village (in the northern direction) is the protected area "Irakli", with one of the last virgin and still unbuilt beaches on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.
